This significant announcement came to light on Aug. 22, 2024, stirring excitement within the school and the broader Danbury community. The induction ceremony is set to be a highlight of the Homecoming Weekend in September, promising a memorable celebration of the school’s athletic prowess and historical success. Recognized as the #8 Best High School for Athletes in Connecticut by Niche rankings, Immaculate High School continues to honor the legacy and contributions of its athletes, coaches, and supportive community members through this venerable Hall of Fame.

Athletic Director Nelson Mingachos expressed his enthusiasm regarding the upcoming event, stating, “Every one of these Mustangs and coaches made incredible contributions to athletics here at Immaculate and deserve this honor.” The induction ceremony will occur during halftime at the homecoming football game on Friday, September 27 at 6pm, turning Mustang Valley into a vibrant gathering of past and present greatness. Allowing for not just a celebration of achievements but also a time for sharing cherished memories and creating new ones, the event underlines the deep-rooted community spirit and pride nested within Immaculate High School’s history.

The 2024 class of Hall of Fame inductees is a distinguished group comprising teams and individuals who have left an indelible mark on Immaculate’s athletic history. Celebrated teams joining the Hall of Fame include the 1996 & 1997 Boys Soccer Teams and the 1997 Girls Cross Country Team, showcasing the school’s diverse sporting excellence. Esteemed alumni such as Julian Christe ’07, known for his prowess in football, lacrosse, and wrestling, and Maggie Christe ’13, a star in cross country and track, are among the notable individuals.
